I’m in space.
My only confidante is Pluto,
and the books say he’s no longer special.
I’m a bit Goofy when it comes to words.
I don’t know how to say
your smile is a lightning storm
that hits and charges through me.
Or that your mind is a supernova
that burns too bright for anyone else.
So I don’t.
I watch everyone else find their Daisy
and stand in an open field,
absorbing each lightning strike.
I smile and it’s as bright as empty space.
